Around a hundred visitors sit on tiered benches and watch about ten experiments: the rotating magnetic field, high-frequency currents, wireless transmission, the remote-controlled boat. It's included in your ticket.

The mine and the Tesla demonstration are included in the exhibition ticket. The planetarium isn't recommended for children under 7.

Zagreb's blue trams (ZET) drop you on Savska cesta. Lines are taken from ZET's official timetable, valid from 28 September 2026.

Where are you coming from?

From the airport

bus + tram

  1. The Pleso prijevoz shuttle runs to the bus station (Autobusni kolodvor) roughly every 30 minutes and takes 35 to 45 minutes. Check times and fares at plesoprijevoz.hr.
  2. There's no direct tram from the bus station: take the 2 or 6 to the main station, then the 9.
  3. Or take ZET bus 290 to Kvaternikov trg (45 to 50 minutes), then tram 12 to Tehnički muzej or 13 to Studentski centar.

From the main station

tram 9 · 20 min walk

  1. Tram 9 towards Ljubljanica: Botanički vrt, Vodnikova, then Tehnički muzej. Three stops.
  2. Or tram 4 towards Savski most, or 13 towards Žitnjak, to Studentski centar.
  3. On foot it's about 1.5 km along Mihanovićeva and Vodnikova to Savska.

From Ban Jelačić Square

tram 12 · 25 min walk

  1. Tram 12 towards Ljubljanica: Frankopanska, Trg Republike Hrvatske, Vodnikova, then Tehnički muzej. Four stops.
  2. Trams 13 (to Žitnjak), 14 (to Zapruđe) and 17 (to Prečko) stop at Studentski centar.
  3. On foot it's about 1.9 km along Preradovićeva, Masarykova and Savska.

Before you go

  • Wheelchair users can reach the ground-floor sections only, which include the Tesla Room. The planetarium and the first floor aren't accessible.
  • Visitors with disabilities pay half price and their carer gets in free.
  • The mine has more than 300 m of tunnels and goes 6 m down, so bring a layer.
